Canada Education system is divided into three areas including Primary Education, Secondary/Higher Secondary Education, and Tertiary Education.

As it welcomes many students from all over the world every year, it is maintained to a high standard. For each of the provinces or territories it encompasses both publicly funded and private schools.
Primary School: It starts at five years of age with kindergarten and runs for seven or eight years.
Secondary School: It starts at twelve or thirteen years of age and runs for three to four years.
Higher Secondary:It starts at sixteen or seventeen years of age and runs for two years.
Tertiary Education: It includes both higher education and Vocational education and training (VET).
Vocational Education & Training
The vocational schools in Canada offers many study options that is tailored to individual's interests and goals. If the candidate is recently graduated, need to attain advanced skills in his existing profession or wish to change career, the vocational schools are there to serve the purpose and covers a range of fields and also help gain knowledge in an assortment of occupations.
In case the candidate can’t fulfill the conditions for the specific education program, he/she can choose the foundation studies. Foundation course is usually taken before starting a desired educational program in university. Its like an opportunity for the candidate to improve academic performance to study for the entire degree course.
